Barcelona faced Brest in the Champions League matchday 5. The Catalan team put on a complete performance, winning 3-0 at home and grabbing another crucial three points.
Nevertheless, Barcelona have been missing their most-valuable player on the right-wing, namely Lamine Yamal.
Barcelona’s dependency on the youngster has been no secret.
In fact, without Yamal present, the Catalan team lost against Real Sociedad, and drew against Celta Vigo in La Liga, dropping 5 points in just 2 games.
The 17-year-old has been injured due to a muscle overload, and his role had to be complemented by Raphinha and Olmo.
Hansi Flick spoke to the media following the game, giving an update on when he expects Yamal to return:
“I told Lamine Yamal I hope he’ll be with us on Saturday. He’ll train with us tomorrow,” said Flick.

The two were seen hugging each other after the victory against Brest, in which they exchanged a short conversation as well.
With Yamal back in the squad, Flick will have the team he has been missing for quite a while now and no excuses left to compete at the highest level.
