Barcelona midfielder Pedri was a happy man after playing a starring role for Hansi Flick’s side in [Tuesday’s win over Brest](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2024/11/26/24304671/barcelona-brest-champions-league-final-score-match-report-recap-reactions).
The youngster played a key role in the victory and says he enjoys playing further back in midfield for Barcelona under the German.
> “I felt very good and I also like playing further back, with more contact with the ball, I feel very comfortable there,” he said.

> “They didn’t give me the MVP and some people told me that I deserved it, but if they gave it to Cubarsi I’m happy because as long as they give it to someone from our team I’m satisfied.”
The midfielder was also asked about reports his agents are close to sealing a renewal with Barcelona until 2030 but says he’s heard nothing yet.
> “I don’t know anything, but I always say that I’m doing very well here and I’ll talk to my agent,” he added.
Barcelona face Pedri’s former side Las Palmas next as the Canary Islanders head to Montjuic next in La Liga.
