Tottenham and Chelsea lined up for auction to sign player – Blues may have advantage

Over the past few months, Tottenham and Chelsea have both been repeatedly linked with Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu.

The Denmark international scored the winner for his side in the Serie A against Venezia on Monday. He took his tally for the season to three goals and has grown in stature in this campaign, playing out wide more often than he did in the 2023/24 season.

Interest in the 20-year-old is rising and TuttoSport have today shed some light on his situation, stating that Juventus have scouted the Dane during the game against Venezia and they are one of the candidates to land Dorgu and so are Napoli.

The report also mentions Tottenham and Chelsea and interestingly enough, the Blues could have an advantage in the saga. That is because the player himself supported Chelsea as a child and that can prove key in this situation.

TuttoSport also go on to state that a January sale is unlikely unless clubs offer creative solutions to Lecce, who want well more than the €15m asking price which they had set last year.

There’s a belief an auction is on the way, with Tottenham and Chelsea involved, and perhaps that creative situation for January could involve loaning the player back to Lecce.
