Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has provided an insight into the details of the exchange between he and star attacker Lamine Yamal in the aftermath of the club’s latest outing.
Barcelona were of course back in action last night, welcoming Ligue 1 outfit Stade Brestois to Catalunya’s capital for a Champions League clash.
When all was said and done, the Blaugrana emerged dominant victors, by three goals to nil.
Playing no part en route to as much, though, was the aforementioned Lamine Yamal.
Sidelined with an ankle injury at present, the 17-year-old was forced to watch on from the stands for the third game in succession on Tuesday.
In turn, it turned heads across Spain when, post-match, Lamine was spotted in a lengthy conversation with manager Hansi Flick, on the pitch at Montjuïc:
La charla de Flick con Lamine Yamal tras el partido. Abrazos y casi un minuto de conversación.
Hoy el Barça ha podido ganar sin Lamine.

Speaking to the media in the aftermath of his side’s return to winning ways, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of as much was put to Flick himself.
And Barcelona’s headmaster went on to explain:
“I told Lamine Yamal that I hope he’ll be with us on Saturday against Las Palmas. He’ll train with us tomorrow.”
