Chelsea have not been shy to be ruthless in recent years when it comes to making sure players commit their future to the club.
After it was clear Conor Gallagher was not looking to stay at Stamford Bridge on the new terms he was being offered, he was completely left off the pre-season tour and out of first team training until he made the move to Atletico Madrid.
The same occured with a defender too, with Chelsea fans fuming at the treatment of Trevoh Chalobah before he made the move on loan to Crystal Palace.
It has not just been recognised first team players who have been subject to this treatment. Josh Acheampong was frozen out earlier this season after it emerged he was not yet ready to commit his long-term future to the club.

Acheampong spotted in Chelsea training and could start in Conference League
He had only appeared once off the bench against Barrow in the Carabao Cup, despite an injury crisis in the right-back position.
However, the rift between the club and player could well be about to come to an end. Felix Johnston has noticed Acheampong back in first team training ahead of tomorrow night’s Conference League game against Heidenheim.
Johnston corrected afterwards that Disasi was in fact in training with the squad.

Given the fact none of the other recognised options to play at right-back have been seen with the training squad, there is a big chance he is handed a start in Germany tomorrow.
The Blues will be looking to make it four wins from four in the competition, with the manager set to rotate heavily again.
Acheampong frustrated with Maresca
Acheampong has missed out on some opportunities to start games for the first team already, with the likes of Tyrique George being handed that chance.
Acheampong was reportedly frustrated with Enzo Maresca after he has not been given the opportunity before to feature when Reece James and Malo Gusto have been out injured.
The situation looks as if it is close to being rectified though, and with James’ latest setback there will be opportunities to be involved in all competitions again.
