West Brom boss Carlos Corberan refused to be drawn on ‘speculation’ suggesting he could leave for Leicester City, as he insists he is concentrating on his current job.
The Spaniard has done a fine job for the Baggies since replacing Steve Bruce two years ago, with Albion reaching the play-offs last season.

That put him on the radar of Leicester in the summer, but the Foxes eventually appointed Steve Cooper.
However, Leicester made the decision to sack Cooper over the weekend following the defeat to Chelsea, with the side one point above the relegation zone.
Carlos Corberan on Leicester City vacancy
Since then, there have been plenty of names linked with the vacancy, with some talk that Leicester could go back in for Corberan.
Yet, it’s not something that Corberan is concerning himself with right now, as he told the Express & Star that he is only focusing on Albion following their 0-0 draw at Sunderland.
“I can only say how focused I am at West Bromwich, how proud I feel to be the coach of this amazing club. I understand that football always has speculation around, but I didn’t even know that Leicester’s coach was sacked, for example, until last night (Monday). There is so much speculation that can appear out of my control.

“I am completely focused on my work, my club, to get better form, to give fans better results. Hopefully our fans don’t feel any type of lack of respect because there are always things in the media we cannot control.”
Carlos Corberan can fulfil his ambitions with West Brom
It remains to be seen whether Leicester make a serious play for Corberan, and, if they do, he could have a tough decision to make.
He will dream of working in the Premier League, and the Foxes obviously provide that platform right now.
But, Corberan is right not to get distracted by that. He is working at a club that has ambitions of reaching the top-flight themselves, and it wouldn’t be a massive shock if the two clubs swapped divisions come May.

FLW's West Brom fan pundit has given his reaction to reports linking Carlos Corberan with the vacant managerial position at Leicester City.
So, all he can do is work on making Albion better, and that will be his only focus as he gears towards the weekend trip to Deepdale to take on Preston.
Following on from that, the past month or two has shown that the Baggies must improve as they look to win promotion.
They picked up a very creditable point at Sunderland last night, but it was a difficult watch at times for Albion fans, as the side showed very little ambition going forward.

Perhaps that’s understandable given the defensive issues they have, so keeping a clean sheet was the priority, but they are drawing too many games in general, with eight of their last nine games ending all square.
On one hand, it shows Albion are competitive, which indicates only a few tweaks are needed. However, they have dropped out of the play-offs now, so Corberan will be determined to get the side back winning games as quickly as possible.
