Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has provided an injury update on three players ahead of the Europa League clash against Bodo/Glimt at Old Trafford on Thursday.
The Red Devils played out a 1-1 Premier League draw against Ipswich Town after the international break and they will be aiming to return to winning ways tomorrow night.
In his pre-match presser, Amorim said that Lisandro Martinez is ready to feature once more, but Harry Maguire won’t be available despite returning to first-team training today.
The Portuguese tactician added that Leny Yoro has been working with the team too and the club are preparing the best way before handing a debut to the Frenchman.
He told reporters: “Not Harry, Licha is ready. He didn’t stop too much time, so I feel he is ready. The situation is different to Harry’s.”
“He [Yoro] is training. We believe a lot of him and we are preparing the best way to start with Leny.”
Martinez started the season in relatively good form, but picked up a back injury against Leicester City. He was sent back early from Argentina duty due to the same reason.
The £42 million-rated star was unavailable for the recent stalemate at Portman Road, but Amorim has now confirmed that he is in contention to start versus Bodo/Glimt.
Amorim does not have much room for rotation in the back three. Martinez could partner Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui tomorrow with Jonny Evans dropping to the bench.
The 39-year-old also hinted at some rotation and we could see the likes of Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, Antony and Rasmus Hojlund make the starting XI too.
