Ty Bracey believes Aston Villa should stand by Leon Bailey against Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday to get the best out of him.
The Jamaica international has had a poor start to the season after being electric last campaign as he contributed 28 goal involvements across 52 appearances.
In 16 showings so far this year, the 27-year-old has failed to score a goal but looked closer to his best self against Crystal Palace last time out.
Villa podcaster Bracey, who features on the Villa Social, has urged the Villans to back Bailey against Juventus with Jaden Philogene set to be utilised as a substitute on 27 November.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “With the season that he had last season, we know the kind of player that is in there.
“I think it is really important that we stand by him and support him to help get the best out of him. The bar has been raised in terms of what fans expect from him, we’ve all got high hopes.

“*Philogene looked good against Bayern but we need our best players out there. I think it is important that we get behind Leon Bailey and that Philogene gets some minutes, maybe off the bench.*“

Last campaign, the ex-Bayer Leverkusen man flew down the right wing in tandem with Moussa Diaby and was arguably the Villans’ best player at times.
This is far from the case this season as a whole host of first-team stars have struggled to rediscover their form from last season.

It will get to a point where fans will run out of patience with Bailey but a goal against Juventus in the Champions League could turn the tide.
