FC Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal has been crowned _Tuttosport_'s 2024 Golden Boy.

The La Masia graduate, who made his debut at the age of 15, was the favourite to land the award which the Italian newspaper confirmed he did on Wednesday afternoon.

On December 16, Lamine will receive his award from the outlet at a specially-held gala.

This latest conquest follows Lamine receiving the Kopa Trophy for the best young male player under the age of 21 at France Football's Ballon d'Or ceremony in late October.

By also taking home the Golden Boy award, the 17-year-old follows the lead of Blaugrana and Spain teammates Gavi and Pedri.

Lamine won the Euros with Spain this summer after a breakout season at Barca which saw him earn a starting place on the right wing under Xavi Hernandez.

This term, under Xavi's successor Hansi Flick, he has continued in fine form seen at the Euros therefore helping the Catalans top La Liga at the expense of bitter rival Real Madrid.

Lamine recently scored his first goal in El Clasico in a 4-0 hammering of Madrid at the Bernabeu just days before he lifted the Kopa Trophy.

Though he's currently out injured with a muscle overload, the Mataro native should be back in action on Saturday when Barca hosts Las Palmas in La Liga.

This was confirmed by Flick at a prematch conference held ahead of a 3-0 Champions League win over Brest midweek that Lamine watched from the sidelines.
