€20m left back with 2 assists a dream option to compete with Marc Cucurella after latest…

One rumour that is really starting to heat up across the board right now involves Milos Kerkez of Bournemouth, who looks set for a summer move in 2025.

Florian Plettenberg – a reliable transfer insider for Sky Germany, says that Liverpool and Manchester United are being closely linked to the Hungary international, currently thriving at left back for Andoni Iraola’s all action Bournemouth.

The 21 year old has a contract with the Cherries until 2028, but it doesn’t look like he will make it that far. His value is shooting up as he plays more and more in the Premier League, and the €20m Transfermarkt valuation of him is already looking very conservative.

He’s got 2 assists this season and his aggressive runs down the left and intelligent pressing are a key part of Bournemouth’s exciting football. There are some doubts about his defending, but that side of his game seems to be coming on rapidly.

🚨Milos #Kerkez is drawing interest from several Premier League clubs.

Liverpool is pursuing him, and he’s also on Manchester United’s long list of options. #MUFC are actively searching for a new left-back, but the 21-year-old Hungarian is not currently at the top of their list.… pic.twitter.com/1ZWVBXPTtw

Chelsea’s stance on attacking full back

So where do Chelsea stand in all this? They’re not mentioned specifically in the Tweet from Plettenberg, although we can only imagine they’re one of the teams in the mix. We’ve heard multiple times that they are interested, and the chances of it happening only seem to be increasing, from how we see it.

The left back situation is an area where Chelsea can improve. Renato Veiga is a solid backup for Marc Cucurella, but in an ideal world we would have someone as good as Cucurella or even better, to push each other and to ensure that if and when we return to the Champions League, we’ve got world class depth all over.

If Kerkez makes a move this summer – and it looks like he might – expect Chelsea to be right in there in the mix along with those other top teams.
