It’s been a chaotic few days Leicester City.
Steve Cooper was sacked by Leicester on Sunday following a truly abysmal showing against Chelsea, which marked the sixth defeat of the season.
Cooper leaves the club in 16th place, just one point above the relegation zone and now the process of finding his successor is well underway.
With Graham Potter out of the running for the Leicester job, the club have had to change their plans and draw up a new shortlist.
Ruud van Nisterlrooy is under consideration by Leicester and so too is England’s interim manager Lee Carsley.
Carlos Coberan has also emerged as the frontrunner in recent hours and now there’s been a major update issued by Leicester owner Khun Top about the managerial hunt. It was revealed in a meeting with the players.

Leicester owner rules out appointing Carlos Corberan in meeting with players
Leicester owner Khun Top criticized players in a meeting this week after a video emerged of them partying in Copenhagen following Cooper’s dismissal.
They were photographed alongside a sign which read ‘Enzo I miss you’ and this angered the owner as it reflected really badly on the club.

According to the Telegraph, Top made those feelings clear in a bombshell meeting where he also told players that the new manager will not be bought out of a contract – essentially ruling out West Brom manager Carlos Coberan.
Corberan has a £2m release clause in his contract, so it’s now become evident that he won’t be replacing Cooper.
The revelation also rules out Middlesbrough boss Michael Carrick, who has been linked with Leicester over the last 48 hours.
Ruud van Nistelrooy become obvious candidate
With Corberan, Carrick, Potter and David Moyes all now ruled out, that leaves just van Nistelrooy and Carsley in the running for the vacancy.
Van Nistelrooy seems the obvious favourite given his eagerness to take the job, so the process of finding Cooper’s successor could be about to end.
A telling few days lie ahead for Leicester.
