West Ham defender Jean-Clair Todibo may require a late fitness test to feature against Arsenal, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that it’s still unclear how serious the setback the Frenchman suffered in the win over Newcastle on 25 November was.

For him to be available against Arsenal at the London Stadium on 30 November, he may require a late fitness test.

Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said: “He picked up an injury on Monday and it’s unclear how severe the setback actually is.

“As things stand, he’s at risk of missing the next one while the club assesses what exactly went wrong.

“If it’s something minor and he can return to training imminently, he may be available for the next one and could need a late fitness test.”

Jean-Clair Todibo has not enjoyed the best of starts at West Ham

It’s not been a very consistent start to life at the London Stadium for the 24-year-old.

Initially, he was left on the bench by Julen Lopetegui and since he’s been starting regularly, there have been some good performances but also some games in which he’s struggled.

Hopefully, his injury is not serious and he can focus on playing as many minutes possible and establishing his spot in the first team.
