Sean Dyche’s long-term future at Everton remains uncertain and one potential replacement should get supporters excited
Although many appreciate that Dyche’s tenure at Goodison Park hasn’t been the easiest, patience with the boss is starting to run out.
A 0-0 draw against 10-man Brentford on Saturday [23 November] led to further questions over how long Dyche has left with Everton and it seems as though the new owners will take no time in changing things.
According to TEAMtalk (27 November), former Porto boss Sergio Conceicao is a “top target” of the Friedkin Group.
However, the report does add that the 50-year-old – a three-time Primeira Liga winner with Porto – would want some assurances over the project and transfers at the Toffees.

Sergio Conceicao to Everton?
Conceicao is seemingly the first choice to take the reigns at Everton and it sounds like an exciting appointment, something which the fans will no doubt feel too after a number of disappointing years.
He has a good record with Porto where he won 11 trophies over the course of seven years and it would feel like an ambitious appointment that would focus on reaching a next level not just treading water.

The Portuguese boss has also been out of work since the summer so he could well be looking to get back into a job now meaning this could come about at a good time for both parties.
With the takeover edging ever closer, this should give the supporters at Goodison Park some optimism looking forward and if they could pull off this appointment, it would be a great marking of a new era at Everton as well as a statement of what’s to come.
It would make Friedkin an instant hit with Toffees supporters.
