Barcelona defender Cubarsi is confident his team are “back to 100%” after beating [Brest in the Champions League on Tuesday](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2024/11/26/24304671/barcelona-brest-champions-league-final-score-match-report-recap-reactions).
The win comes after disappointing results to Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo in La Liga but means Barca are now second in the Champions League standings.
Cubarsi, who picked up the MVP award for the game, says the match proved the team are back on track.
> “We are back to 100% and we have to continue like this from now on,” he told Barca One.
>
> “Today was a complicated match because we came from a bad spell. People always try to criticize when there are bad matches, but that’s normal.
>
> “The truth is that I didn’t expect the best player award, anyone could have won it. Pedri and Robert were also good. I won it so I will be very grateful.”
Cubarsi also took time to praise Gerard Martin who was back in the team after a tough time against Celta and helped Hansi Flick’s side keep a clean sheet.
> “Yes, people always try to criticize when they see you have a bad game, but a bad game happens to anyone,” he added.
>
> “We have to be with him and support him because he is a great player, and that is what we saw today.”
However, Martin is likely to drop out of the team at the weekend, with Alejandro Balde now back to fitness and featuring as a late substitute against Brest.
