Report: Juventus now eyeing another Everton player for January after showing DCL interest

Everton are one of the Premier League clubs that could be looking to the January transfer window already.

The Toffees may well be unbeaten in their last two Premier League games but Sean Dyche’s side have been unable to pull away from the bottom three.

A testing month lies ahead of Everton in the Premier League with some huge tests along the way against some of the biggest clubs in the country.

But there is some hope for those at Goodison Park with The Friedkin Group’s Everton takeover almost complete.

New ownership on Merseyside could well mean there may be some further investment on offer for the Toffees in the winter market.

Juventus eyeing Everton striker Beto for January

According to Corriere dello Sport, Beto is one of the favourite options available to Juventus ahead of the January transfer market.

It is believed Juventus’ sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is an admirer of the Everton striker following his time in Serie A with Udinese.

However, there are a number of other options on the Italian club’s list ahead of the winter window including Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee.

The Friedkin’s are believed to be eyeing up a potential swap deal with Roma for Beto and Bryan Cristante.

But it has also been suggested Everton could offload Beto on loan for the remainder of the campaign and then assess his options in the summer.

Everton need to sign a striker in January

Beto is not the only Everton striker who is receiving interest ahead of January with Juventus also interested in Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Neither have offered Everton much in front of goal this season and the Toffees have Armando Broja returning from his injury.

However, holding the second-worst record for goals scored (10) in the Premier League this season, it is clearly an area which needs improving.

Everton may have kept two encouraging clean sheets in their last two outings but the blanks in front of goal have to be equally as concerning.
