The Serie A giants visit Aston Villa on Wednesday evening in the Champions League Round 5.

“It’s a historic game, and it’s very important. It would be fantastic to bring it on our side. We’ll try,” Giuntoli told Amazon Prime Italia (via TMW).

Juventus have travelled to Villa Park with just 14 outfield players available, meaning that Thiago Motta has three substitutions available this evening

“We are missing a few players, but we must all do something more to win this,” said Giuntoli.

“Injuries have affected us, but the team has reacted well, continuing to grow.”

Juventus aren’t only without their best scorer, Dusan Vlahovic, as a few defenders are also out of action. Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal are out for the rest of the season, so Giuntoli confirmed the Bianconeri would sign at least one defender in the January transfer window.

The Bianconeri director reiterated that the Old Lady won’t be looking for a centre-forward in the January transfer window.

“We count on Milik’s recovery; he’s a good striker and fits Motta’s style of play well,” said the director.

“We’ll do something at the back, where there aren’t many players.”

Juventus have earned seven points in the opening four Champions League matches this term.
