Arsenal hadn’t scored an away goal in the Champions League this season before last night. The Gunners attack finally clicked in Portugal as they put five past a Sporting side who were unbeaten at home before they took on Mikel Arteta’s side.

Martin Odegaard returned to action during the international break so it’s no surprise the Arsenal attack is clicking again. Their main creator is back with the Norwegian picking up two assists already since returning from injury.

The Gunners are back to their best and so is Bukayo Saka. The Arsenal winger thanked the return of Odegaard for his upturn in form over the past few games: “Ødegaard is an unbelievable player.

“The day he returned, there was a big smile on my face. You can see the chemistry we have. I hope he stays fit for the rest of the season.”

Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard

Despite Bukayo Saka being widely regarded as one of the best wingers in the world right now, Arsenal legend Ian Wright still feels the 23-year-old is underrated by many, claiming that he doesn’t get the credit he deserves for how consistently brilliant he is.

Ian Wright on Bukayo Saka: “Up front, Saka, as I say, Savinho at Man City, if Saka went the games playing like that. It’s been 15 games with nothing for Savinho.

If Saka goes 25 minutes for Arsenal it’s a massive story. He does not get the credit for what he does, he’s incredible for Arsenal.”

Bukayo Saka has recorded 15 goal involvements in 17 appearances in all competitions so far this season. The Arsenal number seven is putting up some of the best numbers in the world.

If Arsenal are to win either the Premier League or the Champions League this year then there is no doubt Saka will play a massive part in it.
