Leicester City are close to ending their search for a new manager.
After the Foxes decided to sack Steve Cooper last weekend, thoughts quickly moved onto his replacement.
A number of names were linked with the Leicester job and the East Midlanders had hoped to get an appointment made by Saturday.
Now, it seems like the club have a breakthrough with reports suggesting that Ruud van Nistelrooy will become the new Leicester manager on Thursday.

This user added: “Lovely stuff Nostalgic seeing these former players now become managers in the Prem.
“Very pleased, horrible news for those around us as we won’t be down there much longer,” claimed one Foxes fan.
How does Ruud van Nistelrooy’s managerial record compare to Steve Cooper?
Both managers are relative novices when it comes to their managerial career.
Van Nistelrooy has only had one season in charge at senior level but did win two trophies before four games as interim manager of Manchester United, where he went unbeaten.
Games in charge (senior) 54
Wins 37
Draws 9
Losses 8
Ruud van Nistelrooy stats
Cooper on the other hand has had experience at international and domestic level as a manager and also overseen promotion to the top flight.
Games in charge 227
Wins 98
Draws 58
Losses 75
Steve Cooper stats
While Van Nistelrooy may have a much smaller pool of games in terms of experience as a manager, he was a serial winner as a player and shown that he doesn’t like losing as a manager either, winning over half of his games.
If it clicks, Leicester have landed themselves a very talented manager.
