Liverpool have picked up a fantastic win over Real Madrid in the Champions League.
The Reds are on cloud nine now. They are on top of the table in the Premier League as well as the Champions League, and Arne Slot is working wonders.
Liverpool came close to scoring on quite a few occasions in the first half, but Thibaut Courtois, as he often does against the Reds, made some incredible saves.
However, Alexis Mac Allister gave the hosts the lead just seven minutes into the second half, and Cody Gakpo then doubled it in the 75th minute to win the game for the Reds.
Jude Bellingham was a disappointed man, but that didn’t stop him from doing one thing after the game before heading back to Madrid.
What Jude Bellingham was doing outside Liverpool’s dressing room at Anfield
Bellingham had a difficult return to England on Wednesday night.
The Englishman is one of the best players in the world. On his day, he is capable of winning games on his own, but things didn’t work out for him at Anfield.
Liverpool were comfortably the better side and came out as deserved winners. Bellingham didn’t have an awful game, but he wasn’t at his best either.
After the game, before the two teams left Anfield, Bellingham was spotted waiting outside Liverpool’s dressing room.
TNT Sports released a video showing Ryan Gravenberch handing Trent Alexander-Arnold’s shirt to Bellingham.
The Daily Mail claim that Bellingham was actually hoping to meet his England teammate, but he had to settle for just his shirt.
The outlet further claims that Bellingham ‘nearly joined’ Liverpool before heading to Real Madrid. Now, it remains to be seen if Alexander-Arnold will move to the Spanish capital in the summer.

There’s already a solution for Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold problem
Alexander-Arnold’s future remains up in the air – he has entered the final year of his contract and could leave for free at the end of this season.
Real Madrid have been heavily linked with a move to sign Alexander-Arnold, and that remains a very strong possibility.
That would definitely be a blow for the Reds as everyone knows how good a player he is. However, if he does leave, Liverpool shouldn’t be too worried.
That’s because Conor Bradley has stepped up massively at right-back. He may not have the passing range that Alexander-Arnold does, but his performances have been beyond impressive.
The ideal scenario would be Alexander-Arnold staying. But, even if he moves on, Liverpool will be in a good place.
