Aston Villa drew 0-0 against Juventus, and Unai Emery needs to realise that he can’t trust Youri Tielemans going forward.
Villa Park hosted Thiago Motta’s team in the Champions League on 27 November, and the Belgian played the full 90 minutes for the Villans.
Emery’s side have dropped to ninth in the group stage table but still have a great chance of qualifying for the knockout rounds as things stand after winning three of their five fixtures in the European competition.
While Emery has relied on most of his essential players despite the dip in form, Tielemans is someone the Spaniard needs to do away with in the upcoming fixtures.
Emery will surely want his best players on the pitch against a tough side like Chelsea in the Premier League on 1 December, but the Belgian could become a liability for the Lions.

The 27-year-old picked up a booking early on in the opening 45 minutes and committed three fouls during the game, as per FotMob.

It wouldn’t have been shocking to see referee Jesus Gil Manzano sending the Belgium international off for another one of his challenges in the game, considering how bad the Spanish official was in the fixture.
Tielemans was also rash defensively, winning only 50 per cent of his ground duels, 67 per cent of his tackles and making just one interception — showcasing his poor decision-making at the back.
The Belgian wasn’t any better in the attacking third for Villa, completing zero per cent of his crosses and long balls, and while he had 88 per cent passing accuracy, the midfielder lacked the cutting edge when most needed.

Throughout the fixture, it didn’t look like the 27-year-old would be able to impact the game in any way — the 0.04 expected goals (xG) and expected assists (xA) highlighting that.
Tielemans has started in every Premier League fixture this season, but Emery can’t make the same mistake at Stamford Bridge.
