Newcastle United have followed in the footsteps of many of their Premier League rivals by going to scout new Bundesliga sensation Omar Marmoush in recent weeks. The Eintracht Frankfurt striker has 14 goals and 10 assists to his name so far this season, the sort of form that has seen many clubs take notice.
Among them is [Newcastle](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/all-about/newcastle-united-fc), who along with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have been to check out the 25-year-old Egyptian international. Reports coming out of the Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt are that the Bundesliga club have no desire to sell the player in the January transfer window and he has no desire to move in the coming weeks.
However, there could be a great push to see a deal done in the summer. Already priced around £50m with that figure likely to rise further if the goals continue and the interest grows, it seems unlikely Newcastle would pay that sort of money to strengthen their attack, when other areas will take priority. That is providing [Alexander Isak](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/all-about/alexander-isak) stays at the club, as seems the intent from both parties.
Arsenal, who have shown a real interest in Isak, are eager to tie up a leading striker this summer. The Gunners are seen as one of the leading contenders to snatch Marmoush is he leaves Frankfurt in the summer, which would in turn end their interest in Isak.
Marmoush has been a staple of the Bundesliga for some time now having played previously at Stuttgart and Wolfsburg, but he has taken his game to a new level in the past two seasons, finishing the last campaign with 17 goals and six assists.
