Leicester City’s managerial search is set to come to an end.
Leicester are on the verge of appointing Ruud van Nistelrooy as Steve Cooper’s successor – ending a four-day hunt.
The Foxes considered Lee Carsley, Carlos Corberan and Niko Kovac before deciding on van Nistelrooy, who is set to be appointed in time for Saturday’s away clash against Brentford.
The former Manchester United interim will likely be announced on Thursday before leading training for the first time.
Van Nistelrooy will evidently have little time to implement his philosophy before his side travel down to the capital but he is still expected to make a number of changes from Cooper’s line-up against Chelsea.
With that said, here is Leicester’s predicted XI against Brentford.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s predicted XI vs Nottingham Forest
Van Nistelrooy’s approach to the game is far more possession-based than Cooper’s, so he’s expected to make at least three changes in an attempt to keep the ball better.

Mads Hermansen will assume his usual spot between the sticks, with James Justin, Wout Faes, Jannik Vestergaard and Viktor Kristiansen ahead of him. Vestergaard could replace Caleb Okoli due to his passing ability to break lines.
Harry Winks may drop out due to injury so it could be three-man midfield of Wilfried Ndidi, Boubakary Soumare and Bilal El Khannous – who will operate as the number 10.
Stephy Mavididi returns to the line-up out on the left with the ever-reliable Jamie Vardy through the middle.
Facundo Buananotte is back from suspension and van Nistelrooy will likely play him as an inside forward on the right.
Leicester XI vs Brentford (4-3-3): Hermansen; Justin, Faes, Vestergaard, Kristiansen; Ndidi, Soumare, El Khannouss; Buonanotte, Vardy, Mavididi.
Van Nistelrooy must set-up to win
Far too often under Cooper, Leicester were heading into games fearing the opposition and would sit back in a low block.
The makeup of the squad just isn’t designed for that approach, so van Nistelrooy must recognise that and set-up to win against Brentford.
Attack is sometimes the best form of defence as the old adage goes and City’s forward line is littered with quality.
So they must go there with an attack-minded approach.
