Liverpool could be without their first two right-back options for the visit of Manchester City after suffering two injury blows against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
The Premier League leaders put the rest of Europe on notice by beating defending Champions League holders Real Madrid at Anfield, taking them top of the new-look League Phase. On Sunday, they welcome a City side in disarray after collapsing from 3-0 up against Feyenoord to draw 3-3 on Tuesday and extend the winless run to six games.
Captain Ilkay Gundogan admits that City will be out of the Premier League title race if Liverpool beat them at Anfield and move 11 points clear, while Pep Guardiola has admitted similar.

City are out of form and still suffering with plenty of injuries. Rodri and Oscar Bobb are definitely out, as is Mateo Kovacic. John Stones was substituted at half-time vs Tottenham last weekend and missed the Feyenoord draw completely to add to the injury concerns.
Jeremy Doku is back in training, however he was not in the squad in the Champions League and will be doubtful to feature at Anfield.
Liverpool also look set to be without some key players - goalkeeper Alisson is still not back, while Diogo Jota, Federico Chiesa and Kostas Tsimikas were missing against Real Madrid.
And as the Kop celebrated a statement win on Wednesday, Liverpool were dealt two further injury blows - first, back-up right-back Connor Bradley limped off with a muscular injury after a superb performance to nullify Kylian Mbappe, before influential centre-back Ibrahima Konate received treatment at full time.
On the pair, Liverpool boss Arne Slot said: "I know where they have pain, but how bad or how good it is difficult to judge so close after the game.
"This happens through a season. I am really hoping both of them are available to play because we want them all available, but if not someone else has to step up and until now this season everybody that I [have] selected to start has shown up. That's also what is going to happen on Sunday, if they can play but also if they can't play then other ones will step up."
Trent Alexander-Arnold was back on the bench for Liverpool on Wednesday but remained seated when Bradley went off late on, so may not be fully fit to face City. The Blues have a similar situation with Ruben Dias, back in the squad after a month out but unused against Feyenoord with teenager Jahmai Simpson-Pusey coming on ahead of him before the collapse.
Players definitely out for Liverpool vs Man City: Rodri, Bobb, Kovacic, Alisson, Jota, Tsimikas
Doubtful players for Liverpool vs Man City: Stones, Doku, Chiesa, Konate, Bradley
