BELGIAN Pro League side Club Brugge are reportedly interested in a permanent January transfer for [Saints](/sport/saints/) striker Paul Onuachu.
League champions Club Brugge are said to be willing to pay up to 10 million Euros (£8.5million) for Onuachu, 30, who previously excelled in the country.
The Nigerian striker scored 85 goals in 134 appearances for Genk before moving to Saints in January 2023 in a deal worth around £15m.
Belgian publication [Voetbalkrant](https://www.voetbalkrant.com/nieuws/2024-11-27/waanzinnige-rentree-in-de-maak-club-brugge-is-concreet-om-voormalige-kampioenenmaker-en-topschutter-terug-naar-belgie-te-halen#reacties) reported the interest in Onuachu and suggested the striker would be keen to leave Saints when the window opens.
The report also claimed that Saints have told Onuachu to find a new club and insist Club Brugge's interest will 'undoubtedly' be continued.
Manager Russell Martin handed the striker his first start of the season in Sunday's 3-2 defeat to league leaders Liverpool - and he impressed.
Onuachu was withdrawn after 52 minutes through fatigue but is in line to start again for the visit to Brighton on Friday if declared fit.
Onuachu spent last season on loan at Turkish Super Lig outfit Trabzonspor and Saints rejected transfer offers from them and Fenerbache this summer.
