Wolves will find it increasingly difficult to hold onto forward Matheus Cunha if he continues to set the Premier League alight.
Cunha reached double figures for goal involvements on Saturday after scoring two sublime goals and assisting Joao Gomes in a 4-1 win over Fulham.
Alan Shearer dubbed Cunha ‘magnificent’ following his incredible display at Craven Cottage, with Wolves fielding interest for the Brazilian.
Several big clubs have been scouting Cunha for over 12 months, including Manchester United and Tottenham but supporters are desperate for the club to hold onto their asset.
That said, whilst the 25-year-old’s departure seems inevitable, Gary O’Neil has sent a message to Wolves fans regarding the players’ future.

Gary O’Neil says Matheus Cunha will stay at Wolves for as long as possible
Since arriving at Molineux in August 2023, O’Neil has developed Cunha into a superstar.
Indeed, only four players have scored more top-flight goals this term than the striker’s total of seven, after scoring a brace at Fulham.
Cunha’s form is a delight to watch but a worry for the fans, who will fear that he’s the next big-money sale out of the club, following the likes of Pedro Neto and Max Kilman.

Fortunately, O’Neil wants to hold onto his prized asset for as long as possible but does accept there is ‘no limit’ to his talent and can go to the very top.
“The form Matheus is in at the minute is top Premier League form. There’s no limit to where he can get to, ability-wise,” O’Neil told E&S.
“He’s going to stay at Wolves for as long as possible, firstly, but after that there’s no limit to where he can go. His ability is top.
“He has incredible ability, you don’t get to work with too many players like that.
“I enjoy the challenge of pushing him and love that he’s reaping the rewards for the work he’s put in. I love working with him, he’s a great guy and we have a fantastic relationship.”
Matheus Cunha could become Wolves most expensive sale
Wolves have a habit of buying talent for cheap and selling them for big profits.
In the case of Cunha, he was already an expensive purchase, arriving for a club-record £44m from Atletico Madrid at the start of 2023.
But, Cunha is now one of the best players in the Premier League and clubs will have to pay a premium to prise him away from Molineux, perhaps eclipsing the £54m fee Chelsea paid for Neto.
Wolves most expensive sales of all-time Price
Pedro Neto to Chelsea £54m
Matheus Nunes to Man City £53m
Ruben Neves to Al Hilal £47m
Diogo Jota to Liverpool £41m
Max Kilman to West Ham £40m
Given the market for strikers in the modern era, Wolves will perhaps be looking for at least £60 million to sell their Brazilian, with most fans hoping a nine-figure sum is touted.
