Ruben Amorim will take to the Old Trafford dugout for the first time on Thursday evening.
Manchester United are set to face Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League and new head coach Ruben Amorim will be eager to get his first win on the board after a disappointing draw to Ipswich Town
Amorim was a frustrated figure against Ipswich, but it was always going to be a tough first game for the 39-year-old given the severe lack of training time with a full squad.
Frankly, trying to implement his ideas mid-season during a hectic fixture schedule will be Amorim’s biggest challenge at United, but it seems players are loving Amorim’s training sessions.
As Ruben Amorim looks to pick up his first victory as United boss, he has sent a passionate message to supporters before his first outing at Old Trafford.

Ruben Amorim lays down challenge for Man United fans
United supporters superbly voiced their support for Amorim at Portman Road and on Thursday he will get his first taste of Old Trafford’s support.
In his matchday programme notes, Amorim revealed to fans that he has two aims for the match – and one heavily includes supporters.
As per Manchester Evening News, Amorim wrote: “I have been to Old Trafford as a player and I have felt what can happen when you face United’s players and fans together, so I know from experience that if we all work as one, back each other and give our all to each game, there is no limit to what we can achieve.
MORE UNITED STORIES
“Last Sunday, we travelled to Ipswich Town. A draw was, of course, not the result we wanted, but I was pleased with the intent of the players, who showed how open they were to our new approach, despite only having two training sessions together.
“Since we now have four months until the next international break, we have to maximise every minute on the training pitch and every game. The time we have together provides opportunities to grow together, starting tonight as we host Kjetil Knutsen and his Bodo/Glimt players in the Europa League.
“Our first aim, of course, is to win the game. Our second is to set the tone for how we want games at Old Trafford to feel: all of us, together, giving everything we have for Manchester United.”
Ruben Amorim receives boost before Bodo/Glimt showdown
Against Ipswich, Amorim had no choice but to make some bold decisions and field players in unusual positions.
Some worked, and some didn’t. Noussair Mazraoui shone at centre-back, but Amorim has received a double injury boost which will bolster his back line.
Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez returned to training on Wednesday, with Amorim confirming that the latter is available to face Bodo/Glimt on Thursday.
Manuel Ugarte was benched against Ipswich after returning late from international duty but he is also in line to return and add some energy into midfield.
Amorim will want to see his United players learn from the lessons of the Ipswich draw, but a victory is equally as important.
