Due to the sheer size of Chelsea’s squad, Enzo Maresca has not been able to hand minutes out to everyone this season.
The likes of Deivid Washington, Carney Chukwuemeka and Cesare Casadei, for example, are yet to even kick a Premier League ball under Enzo Maresca.
Washington, who was signed from Santos for £17m last year, is not actually with the first team at the minute.
Washington is now open to rejoining Santos, with a loan exit looking likely in January.

Deivid Washington’s entourage suggest snub is unfair
While Washington has not made a first-team appearance this season, the young striker has played for Chelsea‘s U21 side.
And his performances for them are being used as evidence for why he should be getting an opportunity with Maresca’s group.
According to Trivela, people close to Washington believe he should be getting some minutes with the first team because of his exploits at youth level.
Chelsea and Maresca, though, clearly think otherwise. So again, it does look like he will leave the club on loan in the winter transfer window.

Who could Deivid Washington join?
Trivela claims that Flamengo are an option, making a return to Brazil a possibility.
A move to another team in England or to Portugal has not been ruled out either. If nothing happens, you would expect Washington to finish the campaign with the U21 side.
Washington has not had a look-in under Maresca, and there is nothing to suggest that things would change if he does end up remaining at Cobham.
All in all, Washington probably needs a loan, but he is not the only one. Marc Guiu is another young forward at Chelsea who is not getting much of a chance right now.
Nicolas Jackson is in red-hot form presently and has Christopher Nkunku covering him, restricting the number of opportunities Maresca has been able to give to the former Barcelona player.
