The Gunners are currently riding high after back-to-back victories against Sporting CP and Nottingham Forest. Sitting fourth in the Premier League, Mikel Arteta’s side is nine points behind league leaders Liverpool and just one point adrift of second-placed Manchester City.
Arsenal face West Ham next in the Premier League, aiming to narrow Liverpool’s lead at the top. The Gunners have the advantage of playing ahead of Liverpool and City, who face each other this weekend, giving Arteta’s men a chance to apply pressure with a win at the London Stadium.
However, Arsenal might have to cope without Gabriel Magalhães, who was forced off against Sporting due to discomfort. Arteta will be hoping the defender recovers swiftly as the team continues their pursuit of Premier League glory.
