Cherries predicted team as Iraola must adapt with Semenyo suspended

With Antoine Semenyo suspended, Andoni Iraola faces some selection headaches for the trip to the midlands.

Here’s how we think the Cherries will lineup as they make the trip to the midlands.

Goalkeeper

The keeper position has come under some attention in recent weeks after Mark Travers was dropped to the bench with the return of Kepa Arrizabalaga from injury after two excellent performances in the Cherries net.

Defenders

Milos Kerkez and Illia Zabarnyi are likely two of the first names on the Cherries teamsheet, thanks to their strong performances so far this season.

Marcos Senesi will likely continue to partner the Ukrainian in central defence, while Adam Smith should continue at right back with the injury to Julian Araujo, after Max Aarons made his first appearance of the season off the bench on Saturday.

Midfielders

Lewis Cook is another Cherries player who has made himself undroppable so far this season thanks to his excellent performances at the heart of the Bournemouth side.

(Image: Richard Crease) Ryan Christie was sorely missed against Brighton, so should come back into the side, while Tyler Adams has started the last two and played alongside Cook and Christie at Brentford.

Forwards

Evanilson was guilty of missing a number of chances against Brighton, but the Brazilian is the Cherries top scorer and should keep his place.

(Image: Richard Crease) Justin Kluivert, too, has been good for the Cherries so far this season, and with Semenyo suspended, David Brooks deserves his chance from the start against Wolves after strong performances off the bench.

Full lineup: Kepa; Kerkez, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Smith; Adams, Cook, Christie; Kluivert, Evanilson, Brooks.
