Arsenal defender Ben White is now set to be out of action for three months after undergoing knee surgery, according to the Daily Mail.
The Gunners star finally had an operation on an issue that has lingered for a while and seen him play through the pain barrier for many months.
Arsenal medics believe White returning inside three months will be a bonus, and manager Mikel Arteta will hope to have him back sooner rather than later given his versatility.
Fortunately, the North London club have options who can cover in his long-term absence, with the likes of Jurrien Timber, Riccardo Calafiori, Jakub Kiwior, Thomas Partey, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Oleksandr Zinchenko all available options at full-back.
Kieran Tierney is also back in contention, while versatile Japan international defender Takehiro Tomiyasu is nearing full fitness and will be available to provide cover and competition for all the positions at the back in the coming weeks.
White has been a reliable player for Arsenal since joining them in the summer of 2021 from Brighton & Hove Albion, making 146 appearances so far, and he will be greatly missed over the coming months.
