Marcin Bulka emerges as Europe’s 3rd-best goalkeeper, **Chelsea**may reconsider the old prospect. Former Chelsea youngster Marcin Bulka is now one of the best goalkeepers in Europe after moving to OGC Nice. Recent statistics place the 24-year-old at third-best this season with a save percentage of 82% and seven clean sheets in 12 Ligue 1 appearances.
Bulka left Chelsea to join **PSG**in 2019, and then he went on to Nice. Now he’s worth about €20–25 million. The familiarity he has with the Premier League and Chelsea’s academy system might be an attractive feature to him. Other clubs like AC Milan have interest, but Chelsea has a lot of financial muscle to bring him back home for long-term reliable goalkeeping duties. Nice are likely to resist because the player is under a contract until 2026.

His mentality reminds me of Emiliano Martinez. A goalkeeper needs to be a leader and commands the respect of the defenders in front of him. Bulka has that. pic.twitter.com/orNiSlbOe6

Marcin Bulka: Recent performance
Bulka’s presence in goal, his incredible reflexes, and his play-out-from-the-back have turned him into an indispensable cog in the machine for Nice, who are now sitting third in Ligue 1. Not surprisingly, top clubs across Europe have caught his eye, and it is common knowledge that he will have to leave Nice for a big-bucks move.
Chelsea, who seemingly cannot find a regular performance between the sticks despite signing Robert Sánchez, might feel to go back for Bulka, whom they rate around €20m. Such a return would be very useful and long-term and precedes questions still hovering about the future for Kepa Arrizabalaga, at least. Chelsea may have transferred Bulka to other clubs in 2020, but his magnificent growth at Nice reminds them of what they let go.
