Barcelona icon Lionel Messi has on Thursday unveiled a heartfelt message for the club.
This comes ahead of an altogether special 24 hours for all associated with the Catalan outfit…
Barcelona, on Friday, November 29th, will mark their 125th anniversary as a sporting entity.
A lavish gala has been planned at the club’s headquarters, where players, staff and more both past and present will come together to celebrate all things Blaugrana.
One individual who will not be in attendance at the ceremony comes in the form of the aforementioned Lionel Messi, whose prior commitments ruled out the possibility of as much.
This, though, does not mean that Barcelona’s greatest-ever player will play no part in the festivities.
Messi recently sat down for an in-depth interview with his former employers, quotes from which have since begun to filter into the media.
And one such message on the part of the Argentine, as alluded to above, was unveiled a short time ago as follows:
“I thank God who led me to Barcelona as I spent my whole life in this wonderful club. It is a great pride for me to be part of and also a fan of Barcelona. It’s a special club, different from the others, I was lucky to be there.”
