Newcastle United could invest in a new striker in 2025 and one Premier League star has caught their eye.
Callum Wilson has returned from injury to bolster Newcastle United’s striker department, but the 32-year-old’s future on Tyneside has been cast into doubt.
Reports have suggested that Wilson could leave Newcastle in 2025 which would leave the Magpies needing reinforcements up front alongside Alexander Isak and summer signing William Osula.
Isak is also wanted by Arsenal and if he leaves St James’ Park then Newcastle would desperately need a top-class replacement.
Newcastle have been linked with Jonathan David as his contract ticks down at Lille, while Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap is also on their radar.

Newcastle United interest in Liam Delap
Delap joined Ipswich Town from Manchester City in the summer and has been a star for the Tractor Boys on their return to the top flight.
The 21-year-old has scored six goals in 12 appearances for Ipswich which has caught the eye of several Premier League rivals.
Last month it was reported that Newcastle are interested in Delap following his brilliant start to the season, while Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Manchester City and Aston Villa are also keen.

Delap has impressed Newcastle legend Alan Shearer this season, and he knows a thing or two about scoring goals.
After including Delap in his Premier League team for matchweek six, Shearer wrote: “Two great goals, which will make him feel he belongs at this level. He could be the key to Ipswich staying up.”
£20m transfer clause complicates Newcastle deal for Liam Delap
Delap signed for Ipswich from Man City in a deal that could rise to £20m, but the reigning Premier League champions included a buy-back clause in the agreement.
As reported by CaughtOffside, City have £20m buy-back clause which they could use to bring him back to the Etihad and potentially sell him for an even higher price.

The report claims Ipswich would require a bid of more than £33m to consider selling Delap in 2025 but that decision could be taken out of their hands if City trigger the buy-back clause.
It means City could charge Newcastle a premium in order to turn an even bigger profit on Delap.
