Andy Robertson has joined the growing Conor Bradley fan club after the Liverpool right-back’s superb performance against Real Madrid.
Bradley was one of a number of standout performers as the Reds beat Real Madrid 2-0 at Anfield to make it five wins out of five in the Champions League, thanks to goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo.
The win means Liverpool is guaranteed a spot in the play-offs as a minimum, while one more win from their final three games of the league phase will likely be enough to see them go straight through to the last-16. Real, meanwhile, are languishing in 24th after three defeats in their five outings, and have a lot of work to do to go through.
Bradley certainly played his part in another brilliant showing from the Reds. The Northern Ireland international provided the assist for Mac Allister’s opener, while also keeping Kylian Mbappe under wraps throughout.
But it was his tackle on the French World Cup winner that has got everyone talking after the game. Bradley timed his challenge to perfection to stop Mbappe dead in his tracks as he looked to break on goal, causing Anfield to erupt.
Robertson certainly enjoyed the challenge, although the Scot was quick to point out it wasn’t just that tackle that impressed him.
"Yes, I would have been proud of that one,” Robertson said. “It got a huge cheer, but that's his job and his job is to make tackles. I thought there was a great deal more highlights for him than just that.
"He was unbelievable and a credit to himself. He was different class - once again aggressive, good on the ball and was getting forward and helping Mo (Salah).
"Of course, it felt like he has now 'come of age' but, to be fair to Bradley, he's now had a few of them.

"I always remember the Chelsea game here last season, which was one of the best full-back performances I've ever seen.
"That is what Conor does. He was excellent not just tonight but anytime he's called upon.”
Robertson added: "He is relatively young but he's growing and earning that experience not just playing for Liverpool but the national side, too. I know myself that's a great combination at a young age.
"I am very impressed with how Conor takes everything from the coaching staff and the experienced players around him, which is great credit to him - but he's still got a lot ahead of him.
"It is important not to put too much pressure on him. We must give him space to grow and learn but he's doing that every day."
Liverpool.com says: Robertson is right to point out Bradley’s overall performance, which was outstanding. The only thing it was missing was a goal, and he came so close to it only to be denied by a superb save from Thibaut Courtois.
The 21-year-old has shown exactly why Liverpool might not have to worry too much if Trent Alexander-Arnold does indeed move to the Bernabeu – fingers crossed his injury isn’t too bad.
