Manchester United allowed Rene Hake and Ruud van Nistelrooy to leave the club earlier in November but the pair could soon reunite.
Manchester United appointed Ruben Amorim as head coach just days after Erik ten Hag’s departure from the club.
Ruud van Nistelrooy took charge of four games as interim boss as United waited for Amorim’s arrival from Sporting.
Van Nistelrooy won three and drew one of those four games having returned to United as a coach over the summer.
Amorim wanted to form his own staff at Old Trafford though and Van Nistelrooy left United alongside Rene Hake.
Hake also joined United over the summer but was sent packing as Amorim decided to move on from the Dutch contingent at Old Trafford.

Rudu van Nistelrooy could make Rene Hake decision
Van Nistelrooy said an emotional goodbye to United but now looks set for a return to the Premier League.
Reports suggest that Van Nistelrooy is set to become Leicester City boss following the sacking of Steve Cooper.

Hamburg were interested in hiring Van Nistelrooy but look set to miss out as he nears a move to Leicester.
This is a huge move for Van Nistelrooy and he could call on Hake to help him at the King Power Stadium.
The Times report that Van Nistelrooy may appoint Hake as his assistant having worked together at United.
Hake quit his post as Go Ahead Eagles boss over the summer in order to join Ten Hag’s coaching staff at Old Trafford.
Hake has been praised as an ‘expert’ in coaching and stayed on after Ten Hag’s exit, with his work alongside Van Nistelrooy potentially seeing him land a move to Leicester.
Van Nistelrooy and Hake in line to face United
If Van Nistelrooy does appoint Hake, then both men will be in line to face off against United later this season.
United have already played Leicester twice at Old Trafford this season, winning in the EFL Cup and the Premier League.
Ironically, both of those victories came under Van Nistelrooy.
United will travel to face Leicester on March 15, 2025, going up against Van Nistelrooy and Hake in the process.
There will be no Old Trafford return this season unless United draw Leicester in the FA Cup, but United will be hoping to see Van Nistelrooy and Hake fare well as Leicester battle against the drop.
