Everton may be in for a bumpy ride under The Friedkin Group as Roma risk another Financial Fair Play sanction.
According to Corriere dello Sport on 28 November, the Serie A club incurred a £67.7million loss in their 2023-24 accounts.
While it is a drop from the £85.4m loss they suffered the previous year, the Giallorossi risk facing FFP sanctions if they do not raise enough revenue before their settlement agreement with UEFA ends in June.
As noted by Calcio Finanza [27 November], Roma have incurred £489.4m in losses since the Friedkins bought the club in August 2020.

Corriere dello Sport adds that the Italian giants, therefore, need further capital injections from their owners to help their finances, although they have already hinted at investments towards squad planning in the January transfer window.

It is no secret that the Toffees have financial constraints of their own and the news that Dan Friedkin and Co are struggling to balance the books at Roma four years into their ownership tenure is not promising.
The Everton faithful have suffered enough under Farhad Moshiri and it now remains to be seen if it will be any easier with Friedkin at the helm.

He will have to commit a significant amount of money up front as the Goodison Park outfit attempt to steer clear of the relegation zone with the January transfer window just over a month away.
There are shouts for Sean Dyche to be sacked in his first act as the club’s owner, but the manager would have to be paid a compensation fee.
