The January transfer window is around the corner and Celtic could conclude some deals.
This is a very different season for Celtic, compared to previous campaigns, because of what is happening in the Champions League this season.
For the first time in a long time, the Bhoys will not only still be playing European football after the New Year – Celtic face Aston Villa on January 29 – but if they qualify for the knockout stages, as expected, then that’s two extra games, at a minimum, Brendan Rodgers will have to deal with.
Bearing that in mind, the squad, and it is pretty strong so far, will be tested and perhaps an extra pair of legs might need to be added in the winter.
One man thriving in the Premiership this season is Motherwell midfielder, Lennon Miller.
There is talk of Celtic possibly looking to sign Miller, with the teenager attracting interest, not just in Scotland, but the Premier League and Italy also.
The 18-year-old has a fan in Aston Villa captain and Scotland midfielder, John McGinn.
John McGinn says Motherwell will find it ‘hard’ to keep hold of Celtic transfer target Lennon Miller
There is talk of Miller possibly earning a Scotland call-up and McGinn, who is a regular starter for Steve Clarke, thinks he is banging on the door.

Ben Doak shone for Scotland recently, so it proves that providing that rising star a chance does work and spark the country into life.
McGinn shared that he has seen ‘a lot’ of Miller during his early playing days and added ‘what a player’, as he told Premier Sports.
The Villa star’s brother – Paul McGinn – is the captain of Motherwell – and he shared that his elder sibling ‘called it early’ about Miller and he has heard ‘how good of an attitude he has got’.

“I ask him (Paul McGinn) quite a lot (about Miller), but he called it pretty early,” said McGinn. I have seen a lot of him. What a player. The nicest thing you here is how good an attitude he has got. How focused he is and he has an old head on young shoulders.
“I think the hard task for Motherwell is keeping hold of him – aye, I think he is chomping on the door (for a Scotland call-up).”
Celtic’s transfer interest in Burnley’s Josh Brownhill
It seems as though Celtic are scouring the market for that midfielder, but is one needed for January as a priority? The answer is probably no.
Even if the powers that be sign Miller in January, he will probably be loaned straight back because even summer signing, Luke McCowan can’t get any minutes, at the moment.
But 67 Hail Hail sources revealed at the start of the month that Celtic hold an interest in Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhill ahead of his contract expiring next summer.
