Ronaldinho is competing in a Real Madrid vs Barcelona legends match.

Barcelona and Brazil legend Ronaldinho has rolled back the years by scoring a stunning free kick in an El Clasico exhibition match.

The match, which is taking place in Qatar, features a number of iconic players from both teams, with Luis Figo and Clarence Seedorf, former Arsenal striker Julio Baptista and ex-Bolton star Ivan Campo among those representing Real Madrid.

Patrick Kluivert, Rivaldo and Gaizka Mendieta have all been in action for the Barca side.

It is the first of two Clasicos between the veteran sides before 2024 ends, and the two halves last 40 minutes each.

Barca went 1-0 up early on through Juan Pablo Sorin, before winning a free kick from around 22 yards out, which Ronaldinho - naturally - decided to take responsibility for taking.

The iconic midfielder stepped up and curled a beautiful right-footed effort into the top left corner of the net, leaving Real Madrid goalkeeper Francisco Buyo - who is, it must be said, 66 years of age - with no chance.

The game eventually ended 2-2, with Luis Figo and Edwin Congo scoring in the second half for Real. Barca had a chance to win the game late on from the penalty spot, but Kluivert's spot kick was saved by substitute goalkeeper Pedro Contreras.
