West Ham United centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo is facing a race against time in order to be fit for the clash with Arsenal.
Jean-Clair Todibo joined West Ham from Nice in the summer on a season-long loan deal, and that move will be made permanent in 2025.
He recently suggested that he hasn’t even reached 80% of his potential at the London Stadium yet.
He wasn’t anywhere near his best during our 2-0 win over Newcastle on Monday night.
It has been claimed that Todibo has a 50/50 chance of featuring for the Hammers against the Gunners this weekend.
The Hammers need him back and firing on all cylinders as soon as possible, with the hectic festive period lying ahead of us.
And a new claim has been made about his fitness ahead of the game.

Hammers head coach Lopetegui will be praying that the Frenchman recovers in time to face Arsenal.

If he isn’t fit, the Spaniard will be forced into starting Konstantinos Mavropanos, and the Greek centre-back looked incredibly shaky when he came on against Newcastle.

It seems like Todibo is determined to keep his place in the side on Saturday.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Todibo is pushing desperately hard to be fit in time to start against Arsenal this weekend.
The Mail claim that Todibo’s injury will not keep him on the sidelines for long and it is not a serious issue.
Judging by previous reports, I took it that it was almost a given that the centre-back would be ready to take on Arsenal.
However, it seems like it’s very much touch and go now.
If he doesn’t make the Gunners clash, he is expected to return for our trip to Leicester City four days later.
Whilst the 24-year-old has made the odd mistake for the Hammers here and there, he is slowly starting to get up to speed in the Premier League.
He will clearly be a hugely important player for us in time.
And I tell you something, I would be much more comfortable with Jean-Clair Todibo starting for West Ham against Arsenal, rather than Konstantinos Mavropanos.
