Barcelona may have to cope without Inigo Martinez on Saturday when Hansi Flick’s side take on Las Palmas in La Liga.
Martinez is suffering from “muscle discomfort” in his leg and is considered a “serious doubt” for the game, according to Diario Sport.
The defender has [played a key role for Barca this season](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2024/11/25/24305418/inigo-martinez-sends-warning-to-barcelona-ahead-of-champions-league-tie-with-brest), and Flick is said to be unwilling to take any risks, meaning he could miss out.
Martinez’s absence would mean that Eric Garcia could partner Pau Cubarsi in the starting XI after returning to fitness. Sergi Dominguez is another option for the Barca boss.
Flick could also opt to shift Jules Kounde over from right back and allow Hector Fort to play at right-back for the match.
Martinez has played 13 of Barca’s 14 La Liga games this season and all five Champions League matches, highlighting just how important he’s been this season.
