Niclas Fullkrug hasn’t featured for West Ham United since August 31st, and a new update has come to light ahead of the Arsenal clash.
West Ham signed Niclas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, for a fee believed to be worth around £27.5 million.
However, he has endured a nightmare start to life at the London Stadium, and it has been claimed that the Hammers are already prepared to cut their losses by selling him in January.
I think moving the Germany international on would be the right call, if their are any potential suitors for his signature this winter.
Sure, he hasn’t had many chances to impress, but when he did play before his injury, he seemed to be miles off the pace.
I have my doubts that he will ever succeed with West Ham, but it would be nice to see what he can do, if given a proper run.
And now it seems like he at least has a chance of returning in time to face the Gunners.

And it seems like Lopetegui could well have another player to call upon this weekend.
According to WHUFC.com, Fullkrug will ‘be assessed’ before the Gunners clash.
That sounds hugely positive, as all the noise coming out of the club over the past week or so had suggested that he wouldn’t be ready to feature until our clash with Leicester next week at the earliest.
Having Fullkrug back would at least give Lopetegui another option through the middle.
In spite of his struggles with the Hammers, he proved during his time with Dortmund that he can be a very useful striker on his day.
West Ham forward Niclas Fullkrug is a good finisher and excels when holding the ball up and bringing others into play.
I’m not sure that he’ll be ready to face Arsenal, but the Hammers’ official website has alluded to the fact that he might be.
If he’s in the squad this weekend, it would surprise everyone.
