La Liga leaders Barcelona are sweating over the wellbeing of Íñigo Martínez, ahead of the club’s return to La Liga action this weekend.
That’s according to Barca insider Toni Juanmarti of Diario Sport, who has on Thursday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
Hansi Flick’s squad are currently in the midst of preparations for a meeting with Las Palmas on Saturday afternoon.
In the buildup to the clash, the Blaugrana have been afforded a series of boosts on the personnel front, with Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres both expected to be available for selection after respective spells on the sidelines.
As alluded to above, though, whilst two return, another may well miss out.
As per Toni Juanmarti:
‘Íñigo Martínez, a serious doubt for Las Palmas. The centre-back is suffering from muscle discomfort in his hamstring.’
The veteran defender will be tested in training on Friday, albeit with Hansi Flick’s keenness not to take any risks meaning that Íñigo may well be afforded the day off against Las Palmas.

Flick no quiere riesgos. https://t.co/BbukzwGZRX
