Alejandro Garnacho celebrates scoring Manchester United's opener vs Bodo/Glimt
Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes showed why he is captain of the club after his actions immediately following the Reds' fast start against Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League.
Ruben Amorim's new club are making a habit of fast starts after scoring early at Ipswich Town on Sunday and then again tonight during his Old Trafford debut. United went in front as the Norwegian club's goalkeeper Nikita Khaikin was caught in possession by Rasmus Hojlund.
As the ball fell loose inside the area, Alejandro Garnacho was there in the right place at the right time, to tap home. With Old Trafford erupting and the players celebrating, Fernandes took a moment to calm his teammates.

With the outfield players gathered in front of the away supporters by the corner flag, Fernandes took the opportunity to give instructions to his team. While it is unclear exactly what was said, it is likely to have revolved around them keeping their focus and pushing on to score more goals.
As mentioned, United are no strangers to a) scoring early and b) scoring first. However, one of their problems has been holding on to their advantages.
On Sunday, the Reds were forced to settle for a draw with Omari Hutchinson equalising for Ipswich just before half-time. Should United keep hold of the three points tonight, they will move back into contention for a spot in the top eight of the Europa League.
Teams who finish inside the top eight qualify automatically for the round of 16. Should United finish between 9th and 24th, they will be forced to play a two-legged knockout play-off in February to advance.
