Barcelona physio Pablo Merino has sent out a message to Gavi after seeing the midfielder make a successful recovery from ACL surgery.

Merino has paid tribute to the midfielder and his progress in a heartfelt post on Instagram
“One year ago today this man began walking a path that seemed to have no end,” he wrote.
“A year ago you came out of the operating theatre, feet first, some thought you were done for.
“A year later you have shown, once again, what you’re made of. Because the measure of who we are lies in what we do with what we’re given. Proud doesn’t even cover it.
“Excelsior.”
And Gavi was quick to respond: “Everything thanks to you my friend”
Gavi is in line to start again at the weekend as Marc Casado will miss the clash against Las Palmas due to suspension.
