Thankfully, there was some decent pundits on TNT Sports last night to cover the latest round of Europa Conference League and Europa League games.
Chelsea legend Joe Cole was one of them, and he was joined by former England international striker Peter Crouch. The two always seem to team up as a pretty good pairing.
EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea stepping up pursuit of Premier League striker – not Evan Ferguson!
Cole obviously has a bit of a Chelsea slant on things as well, so it is always great to hear what he has to say on our club.
Chelsea went to Germany last night in their latest Conference League game to face the toughest side they have met so far in that competition. They certainly had a much harder task last night, but they did manage to come away as 2-0 winners in the end, with goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen to thank for that.
Jadon Sancho started the game and he was fantastic. Crouchy and Cole have been discussing his performance after the game.
This is what Sancho can do

Sancho was a problem last night
As cited on X, Cole said:
“Sancho was fantastic again. He has to perform. I was really, really happy when he signed for Chelsea – he was a Chelsea fan as a kid.”
And Crouch backed that up:
“He was involved in a lot. He’s got such quick feet, creativity. When he’s confident, he’s as good as anyone and seems to always pick the right pass. He’s getting up to speed, but when he’s fit and playing well, this is what he can do.”
They are both spot on, Sancho was fantastic last night. Enzo Maresca also praised him but made some interesting comments on his mental fitness as well as his physical fitness.
Let’s hope that whatever the issues have been that they are now behind him and we see more of last night from Sancho.
