Manchester City could find themselves being active in the transfer market during the upcoming January window.
Back in September, during the first half of their 2-2 draw against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium, Rodri suffered a season-ending knee injury.
Following that, Pep Guardiola hinted at City signing a midfielder in January to fill in for their injured Ballon d’Or winner.
With the winter transfer window around the corner, the Manchester club’s hunt to add some midfield strength to their squad may have just become a bit more straightforward.

Man City offered the chance to sign Juventus duo
According to Thursday’s print edition of Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness), Juventus’ technical director Cristiano Giuntoli held transfer talks with City and their close rivals Manchester United on Wednesday.
These talks included Giuntoli offering the two Manchester clubs the opportunity to sign Juventus midfielders Nicola Fagioli and Douglas Luiz in January so the Italian cub could raise funds and sign a new defender and striker.

City know all about Luiz
With Fagiolo and Luiz only starting six Serie A games between them this season, this shows why Juventus are apparently open to selling them in January.
One of the duo will already be known to City, as they signed Luiz back in 2017 before selling him to Aston Villa in the 2020 summer transfer window.
During his five years at Villa, the Brazilian scored 22 goals and delivered 24 assists in 204 appearances across all competitions before making his summer transfer move to Juventus.
Since then, the 26-year-old has only started two of the nine games he’s featured in across Serie A and the Champions League – although he has been suffering from fitness issues in recent weeks.
Therefore, if he gets his fitness back in January, Luiz could certainly be someone City consider making a move for given how they all about him already and what he’d be able to offer Guardiola’s side – who have some big fixtures to tackle before the winter window opens for business.
