Gareth Bale predicts which team will win the Premier League and the Champions League this season

Gareth Bale knows a thing or two about winning trophies and the former Real Madrid and Tottenham man has now had his say over the big winners for this season.

Bale won the Champions League five times as part of the Real Madrid squad that dominate Europe and now retired, he is sitting back to enjoy football from afar.

Of course, Bale was on hand this week as Liverpool took on Madrid in Champions League action, with the Reds coming out on top in a feisty game at Anfield.

Arne Slot’s side are top of the Premier League as it stands and can extend their lead at the summit to 11 points if they beat Man City this coming weekend.

And mentioning both Real Madrid and Liverpool, Bale has now made his predictions for the big trophies this season.

Gareth Bale predicts who will win the Premier League and Champions League

Bale was speaking on TNT Sports this week and was asked who he feels will come out on top in a number of categories.

And interestingly, when it came to the Premier League and Champions League, Bale had both Liverpool and Madrid down for success.

Can Liverpool win the Premier League?

A lot will ride on this weekend’s game and if Man City come out on top, then suddenly opinions will start to change.

However, Jamie Redknapp has agreed with Bale’s take on Liverpool a few weeks back, while former England boss Glenn Hoddle has also picked Liverpool.

If the Reds can go 11 clear then it’s a long, long way back for City and everyone else chasing.

Right now, you wouldn’t bet against Liverpool winning out and remarkably, in the first season since Jurgen Klopp left, picking up a second PL title.
