Alisson Becker has renewed his deal with agency Neis World Sport

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has agreed new contract with Neis World Sport to continue his long association with the agency.

The Brazilian-based firm have worked with Alisson and his family for more than two decades and the 32-year-old has opted to keep the faith with the group that has guided his career.

In a social media post announcing the news, the firm wrote: "Renovated. Goalie Alisson Becker has renewed his representation bond with NWS.

"Been over 20 years of walking with the Becker family. Thank you so much for trusting us!"

Alisson's renewal with NWS comes after speculation linking the keeper with a move to a Saudi Arabian club this summer. The uncertainty around his future saw the club sign Valencia shot-stopper Giorgi Mamardashvili for around £25million, giving the Reds a valuable back-up option as well as a potential future replacement if he ended up leaving.

There's also the added complication that Caoimhin Kelleher has impressed this season, after stepping in to replace the injured Allison. The Republic of Ireland stopper has been in superb form this season and showcase his talents in the midweek win over Real Madrid.

But Alisson has insisted he is happy at Anfield after rejecting advances from the Saudi Pro League. He still has a contract until the end of the 2025-2026 season.

"I want to honour my contract and finish my contract here or make a new one," he said. "I am really happy here. My family is happy.

Alisson, who was linked to Saudi Arabia this summer, has worked with the agency for 20 years

"I never got to the point where I was talking about wages and things like this. It was just interest, but when you hear about the numbers the other players are getting you are a little bit attracted. That is normal.

"When the interest from Saudi came, I cannot close the door on a big deal. But my decision was always to stay and focus on the things we can achieve, this new beginning and this new start, and I am really excited about that."

Alisson is currently injured for the Reds and has not played since picking up a hamstring problem in Liverpool's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on October 5. Caoimhin Kelleher has deputised ever since. Alisson is back in training, however, and will hope to return to action in the coming weeks. He has played eight times under Arne Slot so far this season.
