Major Todibo blow for West Ham ahead of Arsenal, but something's not adding up

The fitness of Jean-Clair Todibo is said to be a big concern for West Ham United heading into our clash with Arsenal.

But something’s just not adding up.

Jean-Clair Todibo has just started to get up to speed with West Ham and Premier League football in general.

However, he has received heavy criticism for some of his performances for the Hammers so far, with the likes of Jamie Carragher ripping into him on occasion.

That said, I have no doubts that he will go on to become a hugely important player for West Ham.

Julen Lopetegui addressed the media yesterday and admitted that a few of his players have ‘small problems’ ahead of the Gunners showdown.

The Gunners clash will be a vitally important one for the Hammers.

A heavy defeat would mean that Monday’s win over Newcastle was nothing more than a false dawn.

However, a win would be a sign that we really are heading in the right direction under Lopetegui.

West Ham will be without Mohammed Kudus and Niclas Fullkrug for the game against Arsenal, and we have another big injury concern as well it seems.

According to the Daily Mail, the West Ham medics are not prepared to take a risk on Todibo ahead of the clash with Arsenal.

That seems rather strange to me because it has been claimed that the only reason the Frenchman went off during our win over Newcastle was due to a stomach bug.

We will see when the team-sheets are released at 4:15pm tomorrow.

I feel like West Ham need Jean-Clair Todibo to be fit, if we are to have any chance of beating Arsenal on Saturday.

I really don’t fancy Konstantinos Mavropanos coming up against the likes of Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli.
