Mikel Arteta has insisted he has no preference for a winner when title rivals Liverpool and Manchester City meet this weekend.
Arsenal take on West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday evening, but the Gunners will keep a close eye on events at Anfield the following day. Liverpool host Manchester City, two of the teams currently above Arsenal in the table.
The former have a nine-point advantage over Arsenal heading into the weekend, while second-placed City sit a point above the North Londoners.
Asked if he will be watching the clash, Arteta told his pre-match press conference. “Yes, 100%. It’s a big match, a beautiful match to watch. Two of the best teams in Europe facing each other and they are competition for us, so it’s a big one.”
The Spaniard, however, insisted he had no preference over the result with Arsenal his only focus of the weekend.
On his preference for a winner, Arteta added: “Yes, Arsenal tomorrow.”
